Positano- Where lemons bloom
“If you find such a beautiful place like Positano, than the first impulse is in almost all cases to keep this discovery secret” John Steinbeck.
The small seafaring town Positano is a famous jewel of the Amalfi Coast. On the steep slopes of Monte Sant'Angelo a Tre Pizzi and Mount Comune, the colorful houses nestle one above the other and set up together with the shimmering peacock blue sea a fascinating backdrop.
In hundreds and hundreds of steps the narrow paths of Positano lead vertically down to the pebble beach of Marina Grande. Not far from the beach lays the small church of Santa Maria Assunta and captivates with its green and yellow majolica cupola. When the moon bathes the sky in a soft light, extraordinary delicacies spoil your senses in the romantic restaurants near the beach. The scent of bougainvillea, lemon and orange trees will remind you for a long time.
Positano is the perfect starting point for wonderful hikes in the surroundings. For example, you can enjoy walking from the small mountain village Montepertuso to Nocelle breathtaking sunsets that immerse the Amalfi Coast and Capri in a wonderful light.
