Molise: the last unspoiled region
Molise is one of the smallest regions in Italy and one of the last, which is that rich and unexplored. The people mostly live as peasant farmers and in many parts tourism doesn’t even exist.
To its few visitors, however, the region offers a treasure trove of pristine landscapes in the whole region. UNESCO has called Molise "Biosphere Italy" because its nature is one of the cleanest in Europe. To the east of the region you’ll find huge landscapes with mountains and hills, while east coast on the Adriatic Sea attracts at least some beach tourists.
If you have enough of crowded hotels and mass tourism and you’d like again to enjoy nature in its unspoiled form, then there’s nothing better than a holiday in Molise.
