Not only chefs and gourmets, but just everyone who is curious, is right on this special event. The Salone del Gusto is held every two years in Torino.

At this fair it is all about people’s favorite activity: eating. Top chefs from around the world spoil the visitor’s stomachs with culinary delights. The best cuisine from Japan, Albania, Sweden and Peru and many more takes part of the Salone del Gusto, as well as the best chefs in the province.

More than 170 performances guarantee the Slow Food Fair to be interesting for visitors of all ages. In addition to chefs some of the best winemakers, brewers, manufacturers and experts share their knowledge and ideas. The aim of the Salone is not only to cook extraordinary food, but also to change something in the visitors’ minds.

The organizers want to affect the participants’ ecological awareness and they begin with the youngest: Schools can sign up for various lectures, which deal for example with topics like the effects of climate on food.

The culinary program with its many “theaters of taste”, as they are called at the Salone, is completed with some author discussions. There you can talk and listen to the most important experts and get plenty of helpful tips.

Whether you just want to try some exotic food or you are also interested in the seminars – the visit of the Salone del Gusto is a joy in any case.
